Genre: Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy
Year: 2015

Zach and Hannah become quick friends, but Mr. Shivers frequently warns Zach to avoid contact with them. At Madison High School where Gale works as the vice-principal, Zach befriends Champ, a socially awkward student.
The next night, Zach hears Mr. Shivers and Hannah arguing, followed by Hannah screaming. He calls the police, but Mr. Shivers assures the officers that that the noise came from his television. Fearing Hannah is in danger, Zach tricks Mr. Shivers into going to the police station for further questioning and breaks into his house with Champ's help. The two find a shelf containing many Goosebumps manuscripts, all of which are locked. Zach unlocks one of the books, but when Hannah discovers them, Zach drops the book, releasing the titular character of The Abominable Snowman of Pasadena that breaks out of the house. They pursue the monster to an ice skating rink, where Mr. Shivers appears and imprisons it back into the book.
On the way home, Mr. Shivers reveals that he is Goosebumps author R.L. Stine. He created the stories as a child to terrorize the people that made fun of him, but the monsters came to life and became uncontrollable, so he had to trap them inside their manuscripts. Returning to the house, they find Slappy from the Night of the Living Dummy, which was accidentally unlocked before, waiting for them. Angry at being imprisoned, Slappy burns his own manuscript and flees in The Haunted Car. They are attacked by the lawn gnomes from Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes, but when Stine and the kids try to smash them, each of the gnomes reform, making them realize that they can only run away.
Slappy releases several monsters, letting them rampage under his command. Zach suggests Stine to write a new book that will trap every monster, but he can only do it with his special typewriter which is at the high school. On the way there, Brent Green from My Best Friend Is Invisible and the giant praying mantis from A Shocker on Shock Street attack Stine's car, so they are forced into hiding. The titular Werewolf of Fever Swamp pursues them into an abandoned supermarket, only to be run over by Zach's aunt Lorraine.
As they cut through the cemetery, Zach notices that Hannah glows blue in the moonlight. After evading the Graveyard Ghouls from Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls, they manage to make it to the high school. There, Zach privately questions Stine about Hannah, and Stine reveals that she is a Goosebumps character (from The Ghost Next Door) he created to cope with his loneliness, of which she is seemingly unaware. Stine finds the typewriter and starts writing a new story based on the events around them, while Zach leads the students in fending off all the released monsters that are storming the building. Slappy confronts Stine and breaks his fingers with the typewriter case before the story is finished.
Stine, Zach, Champ and Hannah board a school bus and go to an abandoned amusement park. There, Slappy lets out the blob from The Blob that Ate Everyone. Stine then hands the book and typewriter to Zach, and distracts the blob by allowing it to devour him alive. Zach finishes the story, but is reluctant to open the book because Hannah will also be sucked inside it. Revealing she knew the truth about herself all along, Hannah opens the book, sucking Slappy and all the other monsters into it; she bids farewell to Zach with a kiss before she is also sucked in.
Sometime later, Stine has started working as Zach's English teacher. After class, Zach is surprised and delighted to see that Hannah is there and Stine reveals to Zach that he wrote her back into existence with another book. She and Zach kiss and leave school together while Stine burns Hannah's manuscript, making her permanently real. As he prepares to leave the school, he sees the typewriter typing by itself inside its display case. To Stine's horror, Brent Green has evaded imprisonment and begins writing a story titled The Invisible Boy's Revenge.

471. The Hunger Games (03)

Title: The Hunger Games (03)
Genre: Adventure, Sci-Fi
Year: 2015

Summary:
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 2 (2015): Katniss Everdeen recovers after nearly being murdered by a brainwashed Peeta Mellark. After rebel forces neutralize the Capitol's weapons supply in District 2, loyalists of the Capitol surrender. Katniss, who attempted to dissuade them from fighting for the Capitol, is shot in the confusion.
After recovering, Katniss approaches President Alma Coin and volunteers to kill President Snow. Coin declines in favor of preserving Katniss as the symbol of their revolution. During the wedding of Finnick Odair and Annie Cresta , Johanna Mason tells Katniss of an aircraft leaving the Capitol, where Commander Paylor is planning an all-out assault. Sneaking aboard, Katniss is assigned to Squad 451, the "Star Squad", led by Boggs, but later finds out that their mission is to trail behind the invasion and be the onscreen face of the rebellion. They use a holographic map called a Holo to evade "pods" (booby traps) created by Gamemakers which line the streets of the Capitol. Peeta is unexpectedly assigned to the team by Coin despite still being vulnerable to the Capitol's conditioning, and Boggs warns Katniss to be careful because she is seen by Coin as a threat to her power.
As they venture into the Capitol, they are ambushed by a hidden pod, and Boggs is fatally injured, transferring use of the Holo to Katniss before dying. Another pod is triggered, which releases an avalanche of black ooze. Peeta attacks Katniss again, pushing Mitchell into the ooze. The squad evades the avalanche and takes shelter in a building. Katniss tells her squad that she is under orders from Coin to kill Snow. The Peacekeepers eventually find their hideout, however the squad is able to escape before they arrive. Peacekeepers bomb their hideout, killing the Leeg twins who stayed behind. The Capitol broadcasts a message with Snow announcing the supposed deaths of Squad 451, but Coin then hijacks the signal, and says that everyone should praise their sacrifices.
The team decides to venture into the Capitol's sewers in order to avoid the pods, but are ambushed by genetically-engineered creatures called "mutts." Commander Jackson, Castor, Homes and Finnick are killed. They are chased by Peacekeepers shortly after reaching the surface, during which a pod kills another squad member, Messalla. They eventually escape and take refuge in a shop, where a former Hunger Games stylist, Tigris, hides them in her basement. While they all mourn the loss of the rest of their squad, Katniss confesses that she lied about her orders to kill Snow. The remaining members say that they knew this all along, but played along because they trusted her. Peeta comforts Katniss, saying that if she kills Snow, she will avenge the deaths of everyone who has died because of him.
Snow announces that the rebels have invaded the Capitol and welcomes refugees into his mansion, providing them with food and shelter. Katniss and Gale pose as refugees to gain access to Snow. The rebels arrive and attack the Peacekeepers, killing many Capitol civilians in the crossfire. In the ensuing chaos, Katniss marches towards Snow's mansion and finds Peacekeepers taking Capitol children from their parents to provide Snow with a human shield. A Capitol hovercraft flies by and drops several parachutes, similar to the ones used in the Hunger Games, into the crowd of children. The parachutes explode, killing the children. A team of rebel medics attempt to help the injured, among whom is Katniss' sister, Prim. The remaining parachutes detonate, killing Prim and knocking Katniss unconscious.
Upon recovering, Katniss learns that the Capitol has been conquered, and that Snow has been captured. When Katniss confronts Snow, he claims that Coin masterminded the bombing outside his mansion to turn his last soldiers against him. Katniss realizes that the pattern (a first explosion followed by a second to kill those who rush to provide medical aid) resembles a trap Gale had been working on earlier. When Gale is unable to assure Katniss that the bombs were not the the rebel traps of his design, Katniss is devastated. Katniss attends a meeting with Coin (who has appointed herself "interim President of Panem") and the remaining Victors to discuss having one final edition of the Hunger Games with the children of the Capitol as tributes. Katniss realizes that Snow was right and that Coin is simply planning to take his place instead of giving people a chance to vote. She votes in favor of the Games, in exchange for the right to execute Snow.
At the execution, Katniss faces Snow once again. Instead of shooting Snow, Katniss shoots the arrow into Coin's chest, killing her. While a laughing Snow is lynched by an angry mob, Katniss is captured and imprisoned. Katniss is pardoned for her crime, and through a letter delivered by Haymitch, Plutarch Heavensbee advises Katniss to return home to District 12 and wishes that she finds her peace.
Katniss returns to her home in the ruins of District 12, where she reunites with Peeta and grieves for her sister. Commander Paylor is elected the new President of Panem and Katniss, Peeta, and Haymitch bond over their shared trauma. Katniss and Peeta slowly grow closer, and Katniss admits her love for him. Years later, they are shown playing with their two children, as Katniss ponders over the nightmares of her past.

Since joining JBC Television, all he has done is variety programs. Although Hiromi has done everything he possibly could to ensure his programs are a success, his boss just could not take anymore of Hiromi's behavior which ranged from getting caught up in scandals with female television personalities, punching-out assistant directors, to taking kickbacks from production companies. His boss finally tells Hiromi to make a fresh start in the "hard nosed" News Department.
So now the News Department has Makoto who thinks high ratings are the meaning of life, and Hiromi who values the success of a program as just a tool for the full enjoyment of life. 465. Gattaca

Title: Gattaca
Genre: Drama, Sci-Fi, Thriller
Year: 1997

Summary: In "the not-too-distant future", libertarian eugenics is common. A genetic registry database uses biometrics to classify those so created as "valids" while those conceived by traditional means and more susceptible to genetic disorders are known as "in-valids". Genetic discrimination is illegal, but in practice genotype profiling is used to identify valids to qualify for professional employment while in-valids are relegated to menial jobs.
Vincent Freeman is conceived without the aid of genetic selection; his genetics indicate a high probability of several disorders and an estimated life span of 30.2 years. His parents, regretting their decision, use genetic selection to give birth to their next child, Anton. Growing up, the two brothers often play a game of "chicken" by swimming out to sea with the first one returning to shore considered the loser; Vincent always loses. Vincent dreams of a career in space travel but is reminded of his genetic inferiority. One day Vincent challenges Anton to a game of chicken and bests him before Anton starts to drown. Vincent saves Anton and then leaves home.
Years later, Vincent works as an in-valid, cleaning office spaces including that of Gattaca Aerospace Corporation, a space-flight conglomerate. He gets a chance to pose as a valid by using hair, skin, blood and urine samples from a donor, Jerome Eugene Morrow, who is a former swimming star paralyzed due to a car accident. With Jerome's genetic makeup, Vincent gains employment at Gattaca, and is assigned to be navigator for an upcoming trip to Saturn's moon Titan. To keep his identity hidden, Vincent must meticulously groom and scrub down daily to remove his own genetic material, and pass daily DNA scanning and urine tests using Jerome's samples.
Gattaca becomes embroiled in controversy when one of its administrators is murdered a week before the flight. The police find a fallen eyelash of Vincent's at the scene. An investigation is launched to find the murderer, Vincent being the top suspect. Through this, Vincent becomes close to a co-worker, Irene Cassini, and falls in love with her. Though a valid, Irene has a higher risk of heart failure that will prevent her from joining any deep space Gattaca mission. Vincent also learns that Jerome's paralysis is by his own hand; after coming in second place in a swim meet, Jerome threw himself in front of a car. Jerome maintains that he was designed to be the best, yet wasn't, and that is the source of his suffering.
Vincent repeatedly evades the grasp of the investigation. Finally, it is revealed that Gattaca's mission director was the killer, with the administrator’s threats to cancel the mission as motive. Vincent learns the identity of the detective who closed the case, his brother Anton, who in turn has become aware of Vincent's presence. The brothers meet, and Anton warns Vincent that what he is doing is illegal, but Vincent asserts that he has gotten to this position on his own merits. Anton challenges Vincent to one more game of chicken. As the two swim out in the dead of night, Anton expresses surprise at Vincent's stamina, so Vincent reveals that his strategy for winning was not to save energy for the swim back. Anton turns back and begins to drown, but Vincent rescues him and swims them both back to shore using celestial navigation.
On the day of the launch, Jerome reveals that he has stored enough DNA samples for Vincent to last two lifetimes upon his return, and gives him an envelope to open once in flight. After saying goodbye to Irene, Vincent prepares to board but discovers there is a final genetic test, and he currently lacks any of Jerome's samples. He is surprised when Dr. Lamar, the person in charge of background checks, reveals that he knows Vincent has been posing as a valid. Lamar admits that his son looks up to Vincent and wonders whether his son, genetically selected but "not all that they promised", could break the limits just as Vincent has. He passes Vincent as a valid. As the rocket launches, Jerome dons his swimming medal and immolates himself in his home's incinerator; Vincent opens the note from Jerome to find only a lock of Jerome's hair attached to it. Vincent muses on this, stating "For someone who was never meant for this world, I must confess, I'm suddenly having a hard time leaving it. Of course, they say every atom in our bodies was once a part of a star. Maybe I'm not leaving; maybe I'm going home."

As Mary halts Brenda's infection using an enzyme cure, Mary explains that the enzyme can only be harvested from an Immune's body, not manufactured, and that arguments over the methods of manufacturing the cure with Ava lead Mary's departure from WCKD. One day Jules' chauffeur is drunk, and Ben forces him to tell her when he sees him drinking while he is about to drive Jules, and she begins to warm to Ben when he takes over as her chauffeur as well. Ben eventually reveals that he once worked in the very same building where About The Fit is now based. He also develops a romantic relationship with the in-house massage therapist, Fiona, and becomes something of a father figure to the younger workers. He is very committed to Jules, and even breaks into the house of Jules' mother with his band of co-workers to delete an email that Jules inadvertently sent her.
Meanwhile, Jules is seriously considering giving her post of CEO to someone outside of About the Fit in hopes of professionalizing the company that has grown from a startup founded in her kitchen to a 220-employee juggernaut in only 18 months. Believing it will give her more time at home with her husband Matt and daughter Paige, she is willing to consider the offer. While driving Paige home from a party, Ben discovers that Matt is having an affair with another parent at Paige's school. It turns out that Jules knows about Matt's cheating as well. While on a business trip in San Francisco, Jules tells Ben that she's hoping to bring in an outside CEO in order to save her marriage.
Jules decides to accept one prospective CEO's offer. Late one night at work, Ben greatly encourages her to think about how much this will change her authority and how her creativity may be tampered with. Also, Matt unexpectedly drops in at the office and urges her to reconsider, saying that he is willing to make their marriage work. Jules goes looking for Ben wanting to tell him she's changed her mind, to find him in a Tai Chi exercise group. She finally lets herself relax, and joins him.

458. Everest

Title: Everest
Genre: Adventure, Biography, Drama
Year: 2015

Summary: In March 1996 several commercial expeditions arrive at Mount Everest base camp to prepare for a climb to the summit. Rob Hall, who first popularized guided Everest climbs, is the leader of Adventure Consultants, whose clients include Beck Weathers, an experienced climber, Doug Hansen, a former mailman pursuing his dream, and climbing veteran Yasuko Namba, who is hoping to complete her last of the Seven Summits. Scott Fischer is the chief guide for competitor Mountain Madness. Helen Wilton is Rob's base camp manager.
A month earlier in New Zealand, Rob says goodbye to his pregnant wife, Jan, and promises he will be home for the birth. At base camp, Rob receives a fax from her, informing him their baby will be a girl. He wants to name her Sarah, but Jan is not keen.
Worried about crowding on the mountain, Rob persuades Scott to cooperate to reduce delays. On the summit attempt, Rob's group departs Camp IV before dawn, planning to reach the top and turn around by 2 p.m., the latest safe time that will allow them to return to camp before nightfall. They are delayed over an hour after discovering guide ropes are not yet installed on upper reaches of the climb. Beck has eyesight problems and stops. Rob tells him not to continue if his condition does not improve in a half hour. Scott hurries back to camp to help another climber, but is intent on re-ascending. Rob warns him about excessive exertion.
Rob reaches the summit on time and is joined by other climbers including Yasuko, who jubilantly plants her flag of Japan in the snow. On the way down, Rob encounters Doug struggling just above the Hillary Step and orders him to turn back. Doug says he will not get the chance again and insists on continuing. Rob reluctantly agrees and together they reach the summit after 4 p.m. Also at the top is Scott, exhausted and increasingly ill from high-altitude pulmonary edema.
As Rob helps Doug descend, a blizzard strikes the mountain. Doug's oxygen bottle runs out and he becomes semi-conscious. No full extra bottles are stored on the route where Rob had asked. Rob radios Helen to send someone up with oxygen. Doug, left alone briefly by Rob, unclips himself from the guide rope in his hypoxia daze and walks unsteadily along the extremely narrow path in the mountainside. A moment later he silently topples to his death.
Scott's condition worsens and he tells fellow climbers to continue descending without him. He lies down, soon to die. Returning climbers reach Beck, his vision still impaired. The group becomes lost when the blizzard obliterates the trail. Three climbers go for help, leaving Beck and Yasuko behind.
Guide Andy Harris reaches Rob with the oxygen, which freezes shut. The two huddle together in the storm. While Rob sleeps, Andy hallucinates and falls to his death. In the morning Rob radios Helen and tells her that Doug and Andy are gone and that his hands and feet are frozen. Helen calls Jan, hoping Rob will respond to her voice. Jan tells Rob he must start moving. Rob tells her he is cold but comfortable and asks her to name their baby Sarah. He dies soon after.
Returning climbers tell the camp that Beck and Yasuko are stranded. The weather is too dangerous for a rescue. Helen calls Beck's wife, Peach, and informs her of the situation. In the morning Beck miraculously regains consciousness, sees that Yasuko has died and stumbles back to camp alone, to the astonishment of everyone. He is severely frostbitten and desperately needs medical help. Peach calls the American Embassy and organises a helicopter rescue. The flight is dangerous because of the thin air, but the aircrew successfully makes the high altitude medical evacuation. One of Scott's guides finds his body.
Returning home, Helen has an emotional reunion with Jan, who later gives birth and names her daughter Sarah. Beck returns to his family, heavily bandaged. Closing titles inform the audience that he lost both hands and nose to severe frostbite and that Rob's body remains on Everest.

452. Attack on Titans

Title: 進撃の巨人 / Shingeki no Kyojin
English Title: Attack on Titans, Advancing Giants
Genre: Dark Fantasy, Post-Apocalyptic
Episodes: 25

Summary: The story of Attack on Titan revolves around the adventures of Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, and their childhood friend Armin Arlert who once lived in the town of Shinganshina. But when Wall Maria is breached by the Colossal Titan with the Armored Titan further compromising the town, chaos ensued as the Titans enter Shinganshina with a mass evacuation. Having watched in horror as a smiling Titan eats his mother, his father having mysteriously disappeared after giving him a key to their basement, Eren vowed to kill all the Titans and enlisted in the military with his friends following suit.
Five years later, the three cadet graduates are positioned in Trost District, one of the border towns jutting out of Wall Rose when the Colossal Titan appeared and history repeats itself. In the ensuing battle, Eren appeared to have been killed when he sacrificed himself while saving Armin from being eaten by a bearded Titan. Things appeared bleak until Mikasa and Armin encounter a Titan that uncharacteristically attacks the other Titans with raging fury, the creature ultimately revealed to be Eren. Though considered a threat by some despite helping take back Trost District, the following military trial ruled that Eren will be taken in by the Survey Corps' Special Operations Squad under Captain Levi.
In an expedition to Shinganshina to make use of Eren's abilities, the Scouts are attacked by a Female Titan who attempts to capture Eren while wiping out Levi's subordinates. Though Eren was saved, the expedition ended in failure while Armin determined that the Female Titan is fellow cadet from their class named Annie Leonheart. While Annie encased herself in crystal when her capture at Stohess is assured, the collateral damage reveals the walls are formed from Titans. Eventually, Eren learns that their fellow cadets Reiner Braun and Bertolt Hoover are the Titans who compromised Wall Maria as they and Annie are revealed to have been sent by an unknown party to capture Eren as he possesses "The Coordinate" which allows him to control Titans. The event also revealed another cadet named Krista Lenz to be actually Historia Reiss, the illegitimate daughter of the city's true ruler Rod Reiss. Reiss has the Military Police track Eren and Historia and brought to him, revealing that the former's Titan abilities were result of his father Grisha having stolen the power of the Reiss family during the chaos at Shinganshina and allowed himself to be devoured by his son.
While Historia learns her father intends for her to become a Titan and kill Eren to claim her birthright and restore the old system, she refused and aids the Survey Corps in overthrowing the monarchy while personally ending Reiss's life after he turned himself into a Titan. The ordeal allowed Eren to gain a new power that allows him to create massive and permanent structures, which the Survey Corps used in their next expedition to seal the breach in Wall Maria. But the group are ambushed by Zeke, the man who Reiner and Bertolt serve under. The Battle of Shinganshina which ensued resulted in the deaths of commander Erwin Smith and most of the expedition members, Armin only able to survive when he is turned into a Titan and devours Bertolt to become the new Colossus Titan.
Before returning home, the survivors reach the basement of the Yeager residence where they find the truth Grisha wanted them to learn: That human civilization is thriving despite what they had believed and that they are descendants of some of the Eldian people who fled to Paradis to escape oppression by Marley, a world power that seeks to acquire Paradis's natural resources by force. The Titans are revealed to be exiled Eldian prisoners. The Marleyans used to keep the Eldians within the walls from expanding their territory prior to sending Zeke, who Eren learns is his older half-brother who had their father exiled to Paradis. But events led Grisha to acquire the power of the Attack Titan which he later passed to Eren along with the Founding Titan, nicknamed the "Coordinate" by the Marleyans.
The series then jumps to four years after the Battle of Shinganshina and the reclaim of Wall Maria. As the Marley's military hegemony declines and all attempts to scout Paradis end in failure, Willy Tybur, patriarch of Marley's most influential and highly respected political clan, openly admits his family have secretly controlled the Marley government and had an alliance with King Karl Fritz, a descendant of the first Progenitor Titan Ymir Fritz who orchestrated Eldia's downfall. Claiming that Eren's possession of the Founding Titan is a threat to the entire world, Willy holds a ceremony to rally the other countries for an alliance to invade Paradis. Eren and the Survey Corps launch a surprise attack in the middle of the ceremony, with Eren successfully killing Willy and obtaining the power of the Warhammer Titan by consuming its owner.
After retrieving the War Hammer Titan, the Survey Corps retreat on an airship piloted by a foreign dignitary. Eren is immediately arrested for insubordination by Levi. As the Survey Corps celebrate what it seems as a victory on their invasion to Liberio, an enraged Gabi - Reiner's cousin and expected successor to the Armor Titan - manages to kill one of the Corps and uses the maneuvering gear, along with her friend, Falco, to gain access to the airship. Gabi shoots the celebrating Corps and unfortunately, the bullet hits Sasha Blouse on the chest. The infuriated Corps sends Gabi and Falco to the holding area where Zeke is being held captive, revealing that things are working according to as planned except with some minor miscalculations, pertaining to Gabi and Falco. As Sasha succumbs to her wounds, Hange castigates Eren for his recklessness and abuse of the Corps' trust, while Jean lets Eren know that blame for dragging the Survey Corps into the conflict, and Sasha's death, lies solely with him, to which a regretful, grief-stricken Eren breaks down weeping.
Through a series of flashbacks, it is revealed that Zeke made contact with Paradis four years previously through an emissary, Yelena, who was conscripted into the Marleyan army after her homeland was invaded. With the help of Yelena and a number of her fellow conscripts, the Paradisians receive training in modern weapons and technology, as well as assistance in making contact with enemies of Marley to build alliances. Meanwhile, a rift develops between Eren and Armin, as the latter begins to realise his friend is becoming increasingly numb to violence and killing, and that he fundamentally opposes Armin's desire to negotiate for peace. Two years into the modernisation process, Yelena introduces Paradis to the Nation of Hizuru, a former ally of the Eldian race who now hope to rebuild their alliance, and take advantage of Paradis's vast resources in return for financial and diplomatic assistance. Upon meeting her, the Ambassador reveals that Mikasa is the last surviving descendant of the former Shogun of Hizuru. At a military committee meeting, Yelena reveals Zeke's long term plan, to hand over his Beast Titan to someone of royal blood, who could help Eren unlock his Founding Titan powers. Because of the 13-year lifespan of a Titan, the chosen person would have to produce as many heirs as possible to ensure a line of succession in the 50 years it would take to modernise Paradis fully. Knowing that she is the only option, Historia accepts this burden, but Eren, wanting to protect her from this fate, angrily demands an alternative option be found, or he will not accept Zeke's deal.
In the present, as the squad mourns Sasha's death, Eren is confined to prison, as are Gabi and Falco. Armin ruminates with the still encased Annie that he no longer understands his former friend, and Mikasa begins to worry about his state of mind. In prison, Eren violently attacks a visiting Hange, knowing that Historia is now in her first coerced pregnancy, and demands to know if a new option has been found. Meanwhile, Falco and Gabi manage to escape their cell after killing one of their jailers, Yelena and her followers are taken captive by the military government, and Zeke is taken to a secret prison in the forest.

447. Tomorrowland

Title: Tomorrowland
Genre: Action, Adventure, Mystery
Year: 2015

Summary: An adult Frank Walker talks to an unseen group about the future, beginning with his visit to the 1964 New York World's Fair as a child. In a flashback, he meets David Nix, an official who is unimpressed with Frank's prototype personal jet pack. Frank does draw the attention of a young girl named Athena. Athena gives Frank a pin embossed with a "T" symbol and tells him to follow her aboard the "It's a Small World" attraction. Frank sneaks onto the ride, where his pin transports him to a futuristic cityscape known as Tomorrowland. Frank then passes the narration to teenager Casey Newton, from whose point of view the majority of the story proceeds, starting in more current time.
Casey is seen sneaking into a decommissioned NASA launch pad in Florida, where her father Eddie is an engineer. She sabotages the cranes dismantling the pad and returns home, where Athena, who hasn't aged since 1964, sneaks a "T" pin into Casey's belongings. The next night, Casey returns to the pad, but is arrested. At the police station, she sees the pin among her personal items, and discovers that upon contact, the pin instantly shows her a view of Tomorrowland. She briefly explores the vision until the pin's battery runs out.
Assisted by her brother Nate, Casey finds and visits a Houston memorabilia store related to the pin. The store's owners, Hugo and Ursula, question where she got the pin, then attack her when she says she knows nothing else. Athena bursts in and fights Hugo and Ursula, who are revealed to be Audio-Animatronic (AA) robots. The girls escape as the severly damaged AA robots self-destruct. After stealing a car, Athena reveals that she is an AA robot, and the one who gave Casey the pin, stating that she needs Casey's help to save the world. Athena drives Casey to Frank's home in Pittsfield, New York and leaves her there.
The reclusive Frank declines Casey's request for an audience, but she manages to lure him out of the house and sneak in, locking him out. Frank re-enters through a tunnel and tells her angrily that he was thrown out of Tomorrowland and cannot go back. He also asks if she would like to know the exact moment of her death. Casey ponders whether accepting the truth about her time of death would actually be the cause of it, preferring to make her own destiny. When she says this, a monitor showing the probability of the end of the world changes from 100% to 99.9994%, startling Frank. AA robot agents appear, ordering Frank to turn over Casey or be killed.
After evading the AAs and reuniting with Athena, the trio uses a machine that Frank invented to teleport to the Eiffel Tower. They enter a room with mannequins of Gustave Eiffel, Jules Verne, Nikola Tesla, and Thomas Edison. Frank explains that the four men were founders of Plus Ultra in the 19th century, dedicated to finding other dreamers and inventors who shared the hope of shaping a better future, which eventually led them to discover a new dimension where they founded Tomorrowland. The trio enter a rocket hidden underneath the tower, which launches into space and travels to another dimension, arriving at a now-desolate Tomorrowland. Nix greets them and takes them to a building linked to a tachyon machine designed by Frank that can show images from the past and future. Casey learns that a worldwide catastrophe will soon happen in her time. Casey does not accept that the world is destined to end, again causing the outlook to flicker, though Nix ignores it and orders them arrested.
Casey realizes that the tachyon machine is telling humanity that the world is coming to an end, causing a self-fulfilling prophecy. Nix prefers to interpret it as the device effectively warned humanity, who didn't bother making an effort to save themselves. Nix opens a return portal to an uninhabited tropical island, where Frank and Casey can live out the last few days of the world. Frank finally refuses to believe that things can't change and fights Nix, sending Casey and Athena to use a bomb to blow up the machine. The bomb is accidentally thrown through the portal to the uninhabited island, with the explosion pinning Nix's leg under debris in Tomorrowland. When Nix retrieves a plasma gun and aims at Frank, Athena jumps in front of him and is damaged beyond repair, which activates her self-destruct sequence. In her last moments of consciousness, Athena instructs Frank to use her imminent explosion to destroy the machine, then reveals that she had grown beyond her programming and fallen in love with him. Her explosion destroys the machine and kills Nix.
Back in the present, Frank and Casey are revealed to be in Tomorrowland, with Casey's father and brother. Their audience is a group of AAs like Athena, who are given new "T" pins and instructed to bring other dreamers to Tomorrowland in order to save the world.
