67. Wild Child

Title: Wild Child
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance
Year: 2008

Summary: In a wild prank with her friends, Poppy Moore , an affluent California teenager, ruins all her father's girlfriend's belongings. When her father angrily arrives, he tells her that he is sending her to boarding school in England.
Arriving at the school, called Abbey Mount, Poppy meets the headmistress, Mrs. Kingsley, head girl, Harriet Bentley , and her 'big sister', Kate. She is miserable in her new life as she does not fit in and has no friends. After two weeks, Poppy sneaks out after lights-out and writes an email to Ruby, her former best friend, complaining about her new school. She sees one of her roommates, Drippy walking through the hall, and follows her to the kitchen, where she sees her indulging on ice cream.
Disgusted, Poppy walks back. As she is, however, there is a fire drill, and she sneaks out the window to avoid being caught in the halls without permission. She ends up in the bathroom of an unknown man, who she assumes is a teacher, and tells him her name and is directed on how to get out. During a fight that ensued with Harriet, she learns that the person was actually Freddie Kingsley, the headmistress's son, and Harriet becomes embarrassed and angry when Poppy exposes her crush on Freddie.
After getting dirty water on her by Harriet's "maid" (really an intimidated Year 7), Poppy and Kate become semi-friends. Revealing that the girls' dinosaur cell phones were decoys meant to be confiscated, Kate lets Poppy use hers to call Ruby. When Ruby sees Poppy's message, she is disgusted at Poppy's appearance and it is revealed that Poppy's boyfriend, Roddy, has been cheating on her with Ruby. After Poppy reveals that her mother died several years ago, her roommates decide to help her get expelled. Together they carry out several pranks which gradually brings them closer together. When none of their plans work, they decide to seduce Freddie, who is strictly forbidden to fraternize with any of the girls. After dancing with Freddie at the school dance, Poppy trips and hits her head which leads Freddie to take the concussed Poppy outside for air where he attempts to kiss her, but is caught by Harriet's Followers. Before she leaves, however, he asks her out on a date. The next day, after being scolded by Mrs. Kingsley for her behaviour and drinking the previous night, Poppy discovers her talent for lacrosse and whips the school's team into shape, getting them into the finals (to the annoyance of Harriet, who was the former captain of the team). On the date, Poppy finds herself falling for Freddie. They kiss before Poppy returns to school.
In her room, Poppy finds her roommates reading an email supposedly sent by Poppy, stating that she was only pretending to be friends with them so they would help her get expelled. She then finds that Freddie has been given a similar email and is thereafter ignored by her friends. With no one else to turn to, Poppy sneaks down to the cook's room and calls Ruby, who accidentally reveals how much she dislikes Poppy and that she is seeing Poppy's boyfriend.
Feeling even more alone, Poppy starts playing with her lighter and accidentally sets a curtain on fire. Hearing footsteps, she quickly puts out the fire and runs off. A few minutes later, she looks out her window to see a fire and wakes the school.
When they find that Drippy is missing, Poppy runs into the burning school to rescue her in the freezer (indulging her ice cream craving). After the fire is put out, Freddie finds her lighter and gives it back to her, refusing to listen to what happened and assuming that Poppy was the one who lit the building on fire.
While Poppy waits for the Honour Court to decide whether or not she would be expelled, Freddie finds her crying and becomes convinced that the fire was an accident. During the hearing, Poppy tells her story, and at the same time, her roommates find out that Poppy did not send the emails. Going to the court, they stand up for Poppy and Harriet accidentally confesses to restarting the fire after Poppy had put it out.
The movie is left off at the lacrosse finals. Poppy's father comes to the game and is shocked by Poppy's dramatic change in appearance and how much she looks like her mother, who was also captain of the lacrosse team at Abbey Mount. Abbey Mount wins the lacrosse finals and Harriet is expelled.
Some months later, Poppy and her friends (including Freddie) are in the process of relaxing in Malibu. Poppy ignores Ruby's phone calls, now fully aware that she was not the friend she thought she was. The film ends as they prepare to jump off the cliff that helped her towards finding herself and making proper friends.

The Smurfs all flee, and Clumsy runs into a forbidden cave. Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Grouchy, Brainy and Gutsy notice this and hurry after him. They find him at the edge of a cliff, and while trying to help him up, they are sucked into a gigantic vortex, leading to New York City. Patrick and Grace, a married and expectant couple and their Basset Hound Elway, befriend them and allow them to stay in their apartment.
Papa Smurf learns that he will be able to get them all home in a couple nights. But first, he must figure out the spell to do so. Patrick tells them that there is an old book store in the city, and they head there to get a spell book. After lots of searching, they find one of their own comic books, containing the spell. Gargamel hears where they are, so he sneaks into the book store and finds a dragon wand, which he then steals. He uses the dragon wand to abduct Papa Smurf. The Smurfs promise Papa Smurf that they won't try to save him. However, Clumsy stayed behind with Grace and Elway, so he plans a rescue, along with Patrick, both having not made the same promise the other smurfs made to Papa Smurf. The other Smurfs agree to help. Meanwhile, Gargamel is going to remove the "Smurf essence" from Papa Smurf and charge it into the dragon wand, which would make him more powerful than anything else in the world.
Patrick and the Smurfs battle Gargamel while Smurfette fights Azrael and saves Papa Smurf. They, too, join the fight. Also, Brainy reads the spell and opens up the portal, allowing him to go home and round up his friends. Gargamel captures Papa Smurf again and throws him into the air, but Patrick catches him. Right before Gargamel can destroy them both, Gutsy knocks the dragon wand out of his hand. Clumsy tries to catch it, and Papa Smurf believes that he will fail, but, much to everyone's surprise, he manages to catch it. Without his dragon wand, Gargamel is powerless, and Papa Smurf destroys the wand once and for all, and the Smurfs return home safe and sound. Patrick and Grace have a baby boy, whom they name Blue to honor the Smurfs, and the Smurfs rebuild their houses to look like what humans have.

She cannot tell Kaito who she really is; otherwise, according to mermaid folklore, she would turn into sea-foam. 64. Digimon Adventure 02

Title: デジモンアドベンチャー 02 /Dejimon Adobenchā Zero Tsū
English Title: Digimon Adventure 02
Genre: Action, Adventure
Episodes: 50

Summary: It is the direct sequel to the previous series and takes place three years after the original series. With most of the original characters now in junior high school, the Digital World was supposedly secure and peaceful. However, a new evil has appeared in the form of the Digimon Emperor (Digimon Kaiser). This new villain is different - he's a human just like the DigiDestined. The Digimon Emperor has been enslaving all Digimon in sight with Black Rings and Control Spires and, to make things worse, has somehow made regular Digivolution impossible. Three new children are chosen to save the Digital World and, along with T.K. and Kari, make up the new generation of DigiDestined.

Episodes 1-21: Taking place a few years after Digimon Adventure, the Digital World comes under attack by a mysterious human calling himself the Digimon Emperor who is enslaving Digimon with his black rings while building Control Spires that negate Digivolution. To fight him, T.K and Kari, along with three new children, gain a type of Digivice called a D3, which allows them to open a gate to be transported to the Digital World through any computer and a D-Terminal that holds Crest-themed relics called Digi-Eggs (DigiMentals) that allow Patamon and Gatomon, along with the new Digimon Veemon, Hawkmon, and Armadillomon to Armor Digivolve as a counter to the presence of Control Spires. They eventually stop the Digimon Emperor, revealed to be the boy genius Ken Ichijouji, thanks to the sacrifice of Wormmon, Ken's partner.

Episodes 22-37:
With the Digimon Emperor defeated, the DigiDestined proceed to help the resident Digimon rebuild their homes. However, after his defeat, and soul searching, Ken learns of a mysterious woman who can turn Control Spires into constructs resembling living Digimon. Though Veemon, Hawkmon, and Armadillomon were able to Digivolve naturally, the Control Spire Digimon prove to be stronger until Ken joins the gang and they learn of DNA Digivolution, enabling their Digimon to fuse with each other in pairs for more power. However, the mysterious woman, revealed to be a human-Digimon hybrid called Arukenimon, responds by creating BlackWarGreymon. Though the construct refuses to follow her orders, Arukenimon and her lackey Mummymon take advantage of his drive to destroy the Destiny Stones that keep the dimensional barriers of the human and Digital Worlds from blending.

E
pisodes 38-50: Eventually, when the battle was brought to the Real World, Arukenimon and Mummymon's boss, Yukio Oikawa, makes himself known. Despite interference from Daemon and his forces, Oikawa extracts from Ken data of the Dark Spore, the object responsible for Ken becoming the Digimon Emperor, and copies it into a group of children who wish for the greatness the old, evil Ken had. Those spores develop into flowers that harvest the infected children's energy. Eventually, the DigiDestined confront Oikawa, only to learn he is a loner whose only friend in the world was the late Hiroki Hida, Cody's father, and that his actions were so he can enter the DigiWorld.
However, it was then revealed as Oikawa attempted to make his way into the Digital World that he was only a pawn/vessel for the true mastermind, Myotismon from the first series, now reborn as MaloMyotismon. Eventually, after a long battle with aid from the DigiDestined from all over the world, the Japanese DigiDestined destroyed MaloMyotismon. Though weakened from the evil Digimon's possession, a dying Oikawa sacrifices his physical existence to return the Digital World to its peaceful state and serve as it guardian. In the series aftermath, twenty-five years later, the humans and Digimon live side by side as the Japanese DigiDestined gather together with their families.
